Proof the site was watched all night.
Tools, copper and fuel walk off sites overnight, and a night watch only helps if the rounds happen. Put a QR code at the gate, the containers and the equipment yard. The watch scans each one as they go, a missed round emails the super, and the morning log shows the whole night.
Construction site security
What the owner, the GC and the insurer care about.
Theft and vandalism happen when a site is empty, and a patrol you can't verify is one you can't count on. Scans show when each part of the site was checked, and photos show what it looked like.
Hot work on site? Run a fire watch route alongside the patrol, with rounds as often as your permit requires.
- The site was patrolled all night
- Rounds every hour or two from close to open, each one reaching every checkpoint.
- Containers and equipment secure
- A checklist at each: locked, intact, nothing missing. A Problem opens an incident with photos.
- You hear the same night
- A missed or late round emails the superintendent, instead of turning up in next week's paperwork.
- The watch is safe
- One-tap SOS with location, and an alert if the night watch goes quiet.
- A record for the GC or insurer
- A nightly log of every round, scan and photo, to print or share by link.
How it works
Set up in minutes, from your phone.
No readers, no wands and no app to roll out. If your people can take a photo, they can scan a checkpoint.
- 01
Map the walk
The gate, containers, fuel, equipment yard, scaffold access and fence corners. Pick when rounds happen, like every two hours from 6 PM to 6 AM.
- 02
Tag each spot
Weatherproof stickers on containers and gates, or NFC tags that shrug off dust and rain.
- 03
The watch scans each round
Their own phone, no app. Patrol mode keeps scanning on below-grade levels with no signal.

Night watch
Every day · 6 PM – 6 AM · every 2 hours
Missed checkpoints are emailed as each round ends, by name.
A round not started is emailed 20 minutes in, while there's time to act.
A Problem on any checklist needs a note, and is emailed to you as an incident.
What you get
Everything the record needs. Nothing to learn.
Rounds from close to open
Every hour or two overnight, all day on weekends. Windows that cross midnight are handled.
Missed-round alerts
An email to the super when a round ends with checkpoints unchecked, or doesn't start.
Photos where it matters
Require a photo at the containers, so the log shows the lock was on.
Works below grade
Patrol mode keeps scanning in basements and stairwells with no signal, then sends with the real times.
Safety for a lone watch
SOS with location, and an alert if the watch goes too long without a scan.
A nightly log
Every round, scan, photo and incident by day. Print it, or send the GC a private link.
Plus everything else in PatrolBadges: NFC tags, PINs, incident reports, offline scanning, CSV export and four sticker layouts. See all features

FAQ
Questions, answered.
The quickest answer is to try it: add your checkpoints and scan one from your phone in about two minutes. No card. Or ask us.
What should a construction site security patrol check?
The places thieves and trouble go: the gate and fence line, tool and material containers, fuel storage, the equipment yard, copper and wire storage, scaffold and ladder access, and the site office. Put a checkpoint at each, with a short checklist like "locked, intact, nothing missing".
How often should a night watch patrol a construction site?
There's no single rule. Many sites run a round every hour or two from close to open. Match it to your risk, your contract and anything your insurer requires, then make that the route's schedule.
Will QR codes survive on a construction site?
Use weatherproof labels, or card stock under clear packing tape. NFC tags hold up better to dust and rain, and can go inside a container door. If one gets damaged, reissue that checkpoint from the dashboard.
Can the security company we hire use it?
Yes. Post your own codes and have their officers scan them, with no app or account. The record stays yours if you change companies.
Is there a contract for a short job?
No. Up to 5 checkpoints are free, and Pro is month to month. When the job's done, archive the checkpoints and they stop counting; the history stays.
Do guards need an app?
No. Guards point their phone's camera at the code, which opens the checkpoint in the browser. The first scan of a shift asks their name, or their PIN if you use PINs, and every scan after that logs on arrival. Nothing to install, so a fill-in can walk tonight's rounds.
Know the site was walked tonight.
Add your checkpoints and scan them from your phone, right off your screen. No card, and sign up only when you're ready to keep it.
