Building rounds that really get walked.
The boiler room, the pump room, the generator and the roof get checked every morning, if the log book is right. Put a QR code at each one. The scan proves someone was there, the checklist says what they found, and a skipped round emails you.
Facility rounds
Small problems, caught on the walk.
Most building failures give a warning first: a drip, a new noise, a fault light. Rounds catch them, but only when they're walked. A log book can be filled in from the shop. A scan can't.
- Every space reached
- Rounds on a schedule, each one reaching every checkpoint, or an email naming what was skipped.
- What was checked
- A short checklist at each stop: no leaks, no alarms, pressure in range.
- What was wrong
- A Problem needs a note and opens an incident with photos, so it doesn't vanish into a log book.
- Readings
- A note on any visit for a gauge, a meter or a temperature.
- Rounds in dead zones
- Patrol mode scans in basements with no signal and sends later, with the real times.
How it works
Set up in minutes, from your phone.
No readers, no wands and no app to roll out. If your people can take a photo, they can scan a checkpoint.
- 01
List the spaces on the walk
Mechanical rooms, risers, the roof, the generator. Pick when rounds happen, like every morning before opening.
- 02
Tag each one
A QR sticker on each door or panel, or an NFC tag where a sticker won't last.
- 03
Scan on the walk
Your team scans with their own phones. Two seconds a stop, plus the checklist.

Morning rounds
Every day · 7 AM – 10 AM · one round
Missed checkpoints are emailed as each round ends, by name.
A round not started is emailed 60 minutes in, while there's time to act.
A Problem on any checklist needs a note, and is emailed to you as an incident.
What you get
Everything the record needs. Nothing to learn.
Checklists per space
OK/Problem checks written for each room. A Problem needs a note and opens an incident.
Problems with photos
Found a leak? Report it from the spot with photos, and it's emailed straight away.
Skipped-round alerts
A round not started on time, or ended with spaces unchecked, emails you the same day.
Works underground
Patrol mode keeps scanning in basements and plant rooms, then sends with the real times.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
The quickest answer is to try it: add your checkpoints and scan one from your phone in about two minutes. No card. Or ask us.
What are facility rounds?
Facility rounds, or building rounds, are a regular walk through the spaces that need eyes on them: mechanical rooms, risers, the roof, the generator. The aim is to catch leaks, alarms and wear early. PatrolBadges puts a QR code at each stop, so every round is a record of who went where, when, and what they found.
Can techs record readings like a pressure or a temperature?
Yes, as a note on the visit. Checklist items are OK or Problem, and after any scan the tech can add a note or a photo, like "Boiler 1 at 12 psi". Notes stay with the visit, on the report and in the CSV export.
Is it a CMMS or a work order system?
No. It proves rounds are walked and catches problems early. Problems land as incidents you resolve with a note. If you run a work order system, raise the work order there.
Will it work in a basement with no signal?
Yes. After the first scan of a shift, patrol mode scans from PatrolBadges' own camera screen and saves every scan on the phone first. They're sent once there's signal, with the time they were really scanned.
Do techs need an app?
No. Techs point their phone's camera at the code, which opens the checkpoint in the browser. The first scan of a shift asks their name, or their PIN if you use PINs, and every scan after that logs on arrival. Nothing to install, so a contractor covering a day can walk the round too.
How much does it cost?
Free for up to 5 checkpoints. Pro is $9 a month for your first 10 checkpoints, plus $1 a month for each one after that. Officers, routes and scans are unlimited on both. Every feature is on both plans.
